NAD 4130 Tuner - LED Display Segments Failing

Revisiting this issue - I just purchased a used NAD 4130 in beautiful condition, but I have missing LED readout segments that are not working. The unit works well and I can pull in stations, but it's hard to determine the frequency I'm looking for.

I haven't cracked open the case yet, but I hate to take it in for service if I only paid $80.00 locally. If the part is no longer available, what are my options?

Someone mentioned dry solder joints - take it to a NAD-authorized service center? (There are none here locally so I would have to ship it.)

Has anyone recently fixed this display problem on this particular unit? There are many of these exact units on eBay, some with working displays, but most are in terrible cosmetic condition.

Thanks.

I've had a couple with similar displays and similar problems with missing segments. They've all come back with re-soldering, but I remember some of them were stubborn.

Remove old solder. Clean pins from LED. Use flux. Reflow with leaded solder.

THAT'S the answer I was hoping for. I read something similar on a different thread, but I wanted some straightforward suggestions.

Thank you, willyrover.
