Nad 7130 fuses

I am working on a Nad 7130 that I found and I was hoping someone had a 7130 so that they could tell me if it has all 4 fuses in since the one I have did not have either 4 amp fuses in sockets when I opened it up. The schematic show (if I'm reading it right) that fuses power goes through the bridge rectifier. It appears that the fuse slots haven't been used no scratches and long term dust. So to recap F1 and F2 have fuses, F3 and F4 don't should they? If F3 and F4 should have fuses then that could explain a few things for me. Also any in sight as to affect you would see without the fuses would help. Below is link to service mannual.

First off, is the NAD a used receiver that you picked up or are you the original owner that purchased it brand new?

Second, exactly what type of problems are your encountering with it? Is it currently working with just only two fuses?

Third, if the schedmatic shows that there should be four fuses, then I would put in the other two missing fuses? The schedmatic shows two (1) one amp fuse's and two (4) four amp fuses-all four fuses (T) Time delay, rated at 250 volts.

I am not original owner. Found this reciever cheap. I problems after replacing caps still low volume and interference noise at all volume levels. I am waiting on 3- 47uf 63 v cap to complete recap. No change since I started. Just afraid to drop fuses in if there was reason someone took them out.

It appears as though the previous owner tried repairing/fixing it but couldn't? There is no telling what exact problems that it did/does have so your going to have to go by chance. Who knows maybe originally two out of the four fuses popped/blew and were removed, causing it to not function? That's why it was sold? If that were the case then the big question there is what caused two out of the four fuses to blow? Again, this is just drawing at conclusions here, guessing and asuming, so with that...
1.) Since your re-capping it I would 'still' put in all four (4) fuse's before you power it up? Remember though it is very important that you use the "exact" voltage and amperage rating on those fuses. Don't install any fuse other than what the manufacturer originally states concerning voltage and amperage for those fuses.
2.) After completing the re-cap job and replaceing all the fuses, follow the 'Service Manual' for "ALL ADJUSTMENTS" and "ALIGNMENTS" as directed by the 'Service Manual'.

Thank You! I'll finish recap and fuses and give her a go. Got the power transistors in stock if I melt it down. I did replace the 2 - 1.5 amp and the 4 amp bridges. I'm bought in on hearing this nad sing so I'll update after next steps. Since I'm getting sound from both channels I'll get the last caps in and see what she will do.

it needs fuse 3 and 4 . they are for the
+ - supply for the outputs .
test the outputs .. any nad amp i worked on had blown outputs ..
 
So what your saying is they may have been just running as a preamp?
Just trying to figure this out. I would be getting low sound with no rail power to outputs and preamp only. I may go see if ratty old shack is open and has 4 amp fuses. Thanks
 
Well it was a success. The 2 longtime missing 4 amp fuses got the amp side kicked in. Still maybe hearing new capacitor crackle. Will keep tinkering and still have the 47if capo on amp side to replace. Still makes me wonder how long last owner ran the thing without the amp. Maybe why it was so cheep. Anyway much thanks to the contributors. This is the greatest place! Just love me some Audiokarma! Thanks again for the support.
