I recently acquired an NAD 7600 locally for a good price. Fantastic piece of gear even if I never listen to over-the-air broadcasts any more. All seemed to function properly until I tried hooking up 2 sets of speakers and switching between them. Switching did not work. Also, it started cutting out at lower volume levels. I suspect these are symptoms of bad relays which is endemic to NAD. Where do I find the replacement relays? I believe there are 4 needed and that they are NOT the same as the NAD 2600A amp protection relays which are well documented. Here is what I found so far:
1) 7600 relay set These are reasonably priced from a UK supplier but, I see no mention of them anywhere else and they look like custom fabrication.
2) user photos from another forum stereo-hifi.com id the original part as Mitsubishi JR1aF 24VDC. Digikey and others show this as an obsolete part, no longer available
3) I found one supplier Heisener showing over 6,000 in stock. Waiting for a quote
Has any one here done this replacement? What are the key specs that I should be matching?
