Is the NAD 3140 actually a 2140 with preamp controls? I presently have a 2140 governed by a 1020 preamp (also a 4020A tuner) that my son uses in college. I have been looking for a second 2140 so we can run them mono, but no luck. I have run a cross a 3140 however. I had a dual mono NAD setup when I was in HS, but for the life of me I don't recall the models; I think it was a 3140/2140 combo. I DO remember that they were mated to some parent-pounding CV 15" 3-way monitors, though
Does anyone know of a database of NAD equipment similar to the Pioneer's and Marantz's?
