Nad dac 1

I am looking at NAD DAC 1 OR 2 to add to my hi-fi set up. Also considering other wireless DACs but the NAD would 'match' my NAD 3020i amplifier and have some trust in their workmanship (amp served me well for years).

Has anyone had any experience with these or other wifi dacs? Air Dac from Nuforce specs read well. Audioengine d2 a bit pricey but looks solid

Currently using a cd player and turntable and increasingly plugging laptop directly into the hi-fi via headphone socket. Set not ideal as usally have laptop in other room and would like to keep it that way.

other option is buying a dac (around $200 limit) and using long cables. but this is a bit messy and not ideal.

I really like my NAD 1050 DAC (with headphone amp) that's connected wirelessly through an Apple Airport Express to a network attached server. It just works! Unfortunately, at $499, it's probably beyond your price limit. The local audiophile store (Music For Pleasure) fully endorses the NAD DACs.
