NAD Model 7250 PE Help

A good friend of mine has a NAD 7250 PE receiver that has just bitten the dust. He’s had the unit since 1987 and his preference would be to have it brought back to life. Couple of questions on his behalf if I may:

1) Is the unit worth repairing or should he simply replace it?
2) If worth the repair, can anyone recommend a tech in the metro Boston, MA area?

As always, all input welcome and appreciated.

Have a Nad 3140. Needs recapped. 36yrs old. Impressed a friend years ago. Ran his Denon TT MC cart, through the Nad into his Snell Type A's. Drove them pretty good. He was surprised. His regular amp was 100w class A amp. Gotta love the Nad watts.

Slightly off topic, but for 'NAD80' - it would be worth checking your 3140 has had a couple of the service bulletin upgrades, esp. re. a couple of underspec'ed resistors that tend to burn up. If you download the service manual from 'hifiengine', you'll find a lot of the service bulletins at the end of the manual.

Bump for any recommendations on a reliable NAD tech in New England.
