NAD PP4 In Need of Power Supply

Happytalk

Acquired a Nad PP4 phono preamp and need a power supply.

Any idea what would work and where to find it?

I've been told 23.5v 60mA
I've tried and tried and can't figure it out.
Not sure if that's enough info.
Thanks in advance.

I had a PP2 and used a British Audio that was a very hefty power supply around 24v and 1000 ma. I don't think it's available anymore but you should be able to find a suitable replacement. It made a difference. Good luck. If your PP4 is anywhere near the PP2 I used to have, it's a pretty damn good preamp despite what some will say. Although I wish it had a gain (volume) control. I used a Mani passive preamp and it worked very well.

Thanks. I'll see if I can find those specs. I could be missing something, but it's super tricky to find a power supply with 23.5v 60mA specs.

Got the pp4 for $30. Took a chance! Let's hope it works. If so, it'll move around between different setups and will solve some problems.

HT: From what I can see on pics, the printing on the back side says 24 V(DC) and 100 mA.

Uhm, and why would you ask about a 12V power supply in that context, when that obviously won't suffice?

Hi Manfred. I've been reading your stuff for a while. I appreciate all the info you've shared. Nice to meet you.

The answer is because I don't understand how this works. Finding a power supply is always difficult for me.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

P.s. Is a 23.5v 60 mA power supply rare?

Thanks. I appreciate the help with this simple thing that seems daunting sometimes. I may have to solder a smaller plug on, but that's no big deal.
