The Queen says it's OK...
NAD and Proton equipment from the mid 80s was almost identical. I have a Proton 950 receiver and a NAD 4150 tuner and it's obvious they're close relatives.
Does anyone know which company was the builder or if there was any quality difference between the brands? And, does the NAD equipment use the Proton Schotz tuning setup. (I'm asking what that is on the Tuner forum)
Finally, if anyone has any opinions on the quality of this equipment I'd appreciate hearing them. From what I gather so far, it was mid-fi but could rival high or low-end units, depending.
