Nakamichi 480 help

VMilkRecords

Music Patrician
So I just purchased a Nakamichi 480 from the US (I'm from the uk) And I don't know how to get it to work...(not in that way).
I thought it would support multi voltages but on the back only says 120V. Is it really not safe to use in UK? There's got to be a way for me to use it. I have a US to UK adapter but it doesn't convert voltages.

You will need a step-down transformer. Probably pick one up cheap if your near Lakenheath AB.:thmbsp:

Correct, you need a 220/240 to 120vac converter that handles at least 50watts. Only specific Nak versions were universal 120/240 capable.
