Acquired an LX-3 a couple months ago, for $80.00 at a local thrift.
Pretty happy with it! Did not miss the third head so far. Sounds fantastic!
The only problem: it has a 10-20 sec. delay before it starts playing.
That's true when hitting the play button as well as when starting a recording.
It's not a big deal really but I was wondering if there's a relatively easy fix to that.
I should mention I'm not an expert or experienced in tinkering with electronics.
s it just a matter of replacing a belt or cleaning certain parts?
If so, can you please advice? If more complex, a step by step instruction would be really appreciated.
I'd like to gage if it's worth repairing, if I can do it myself or if it's better to let an expert doing it.
