Nakamichi TA-2A & Sony TA-N330es

So I picked up a Nakamichi TA-2A yesterday along with a pair of NHT 1.3a’s. The Nakamichi is a beast! Incredible sounding integrated amp with an excellent tuner. It also came with a working remote. I took a look at the manual and it appears The “Continuous Average Output Power” is 50WPC into 8ohms but it also says “Dynamic Output Power” 66WPC @ 8ohms & 80WPC @ 4ohms. I was surprised after hearing it & thought it sounded much better than other 50WPC amps I own. What is Dynamic Output Power? Whatever the case this TA-2A is a great amp and I highly recommend it! I’m picking up a Sony TA-N330es tomorrow. Anyone have experience with this amp? From research it seems to be a good amp which can be used bridged mono and produces 300W in mono. It also has 2 inputs. I’m wondering if when using both mono inputs do you get 300Watts for both or is it split 150Wx2? I’ve read that it’s 110WPC in stereo, could be wrong though. Usually if it’s 300W mono its normally half of that number in stereo. Either way it’s a great deal & im grabbing it tomorrow, love the wood panel sides!

I've used my Nakamichi TA/2A off and on since about 1990 when I bought it new...I have tried other sound makers and prefer over all either the Nakamichi or my EICO HF-81 with many different Klipsch speakers...

My Nak edges out the EICO HF-81 with a tuner for ease of use (mostly I can turn it ON and OFF and maybe back ON without concern for the tubes in the EICO)...

The N330es is the Japanese version of the N55es. I've not listened to them but they are not considered high end, and the Nakamichi may "sound" better. These Sonys, from my understanding, were intended to be used to power rear and center channels in conjunction with their higher end amplifiers, such as the N77es in the early days of 5.1 systems.

The 330es can be used in mono so that makes sense that it was designed for use with center channel speakers. You just gave me a good idea. I think I’ll use it in mono for my center channel, it’s a Paradigm Studio Reference center, I will use it bridged mono with both the A&B since it’s a biampable speaker. I should get good results.
