National Panasonic sl 1100

I just got a sl 1100 from the early production run where it was still branded under de national Panasonic brand instead of technics. However it has a bit of a strange serial number. The serial number is 000020. Now I don't know what this means exactly and I would be extremely surprised if the twentieth sl 1100 unit to ever be produced ended up in Europe. I found a thread with a person that had a sl 1100 that had serial number 000001 so I doubt it stands for the unit's production number. Does anyone know what it could mean? Maybe it's the production run?

hi, an old thread, but I was searching exactly the same answer; my National 1100 has S/N 180;
