Hi everyone,

I ran across a NEC Authentic Series TT the other day, model AUP-6500E, and have found very little info both here and elsewhere. Anyone have any experience with these? For example, how does it stack up quality etc wise with my Technics SL-D202?

I haven't seen one in years but, iirc, it's a pretty standard Japanese direct-drive with automatic-return "S" tonearm and should be at least the equal of a Technics SL-D202.

Yes, I found a picture. Dan is correct, and I'd agree that it would be in the same ballpark as an SL-D202.
 
Won't be as fine as a SL-1200 but would be as fine as any of Technics middle end consumer line turntables. Which are also very excellent performers as a rule. The NEC Authentic Series was very fine equipment. A pity that very few were sold in the USA. :tresbon:
