Need 2 replacement transistors and 1 replacement diode

I need someone's help finding replacement transistors for a certain 2SC945 and 2SC1953

Also, I need help finding a replacement for a 1N-60 Germanium Glass encased diode. I know these parts are available on some sites but I need a more modern equivalent that I can find on newark.com or digi-key.com.

You can buy all the original ones from ebay; buy them littlediode (they have an USA and UK ebay shop). Excellent folks to deal with.

Well I know someone at newark.com and since I'm ordering about 10 other transistors and few resistors, I figured I'd get everything from them and take advantage of the 0$ shipping and discounted pricing. I have found a local store that stocks the diode but the 2 transistors are still the problem here.

I think I've found a certain BC546 transistor to replace the 2SC945 but I have nothing to replace the 2SC1953 yet.

matching replacements (spec-wise) for 2SC1953 are:

2SC2686 (NEC)

2SC2911 (Sanyo)

2SC1628 (Toshiba)

2SD669A (Hitachi)

Specially the latter should be obtainable.

I think I've found a certain BC546 transistor to replace the 2SC945

BC546 may replace 2SC945, but has a different pin out (CBE vs ECB)

I think an On-Semi MJE344 will work for the 2SC1953, but you may want to check the datasheets to be sure before you order.

Cant help with the transistors, but here is a response from Echowars on a good replacement for the diode.

Central Semiconductor has a Schottky that is specifically designed to replace old germanium devices like the 1N60. That device is the CDSH270, available at Mouser."

I bought some and they are cheap @ 35 cents each.

I think I made a slight mistake ordering the BC546 to replace the 2SC945 because of the pin arrangement but I think I can bend it and get away with it.

As for the replacement for the 2SC1953, I called newark and they suggested the MJE344 or the NTE373. I went with the NTE373 because another user had used that product to replace the 2SC1953 for this exact receiver (another thread)(Realistic STA-2000).

As for the diode, I'm looking into the CDSH270 or the NTE110A. Might go with the NTE since it is a germanium diode like the 1N-60 it will replace and the forward voltage drop will be a lot less compared to a equally specced silicon diode (CDSH270).
