Need a favor from a Sansui SR-929 owner

Obankenobi

The little cable for horizontal tracking force that is held on by two clips has gone missing from my deck - I suspect a cat or feather duster. Could another owner measure the distance of this cable between the clips so I can make a replacement? Thanks very much in advance -

I'm afraid that I can't help you with that, but hopefully you could do me a favor. I have an SR-525 without the lateral balance weight, any chance you could weigh that for me so that I can approximate a replacement?

Good luck. Looks like a nice table.

Panamafred, wish I could help you, but mine came without the lateral balance weight. I used a stock photo. Maybe somebody else will chime in.

Accurate scale in grams held against the tonearm, compared to the weight at the "3.0g" position or some such? I'd just need a scale :-o

Measured sometime ago - 30 mm. :)

Here it is - new cable fabbed from monofilament and some silver crimps from my wife's jewelry making supplies. 30mm was right on, the cable engages just before the tonearm swings over the record. Now going on the block in the local Craigslist - Pioneer PL-70 on the way from Japan to take its place :)
