need advice on carver c-1 preamp and carver m-500t amp

ive been looking at this carver amp and pre here in town in good shape.. ive never had any experience with carver and was wondering if carver c-1 preamp and carver m-500t were any good . I have some jbl l7 that i need more power for . do any of you have any experience with these?

I've had both and they get my vote. The C-1 is a great preamp and the 500t is a very strong 250wpc @ 8ohm tube sounding "hence the t" amp. For the money, it's hard to beat the quality and sound of Carver gear. Just my opinion.
