Need digital input settings help with my Yamaha RX-A770

The audio output through the HDMI from my Mac Studio sucks swamp water. The fix is to bypass the HDMI input and use a direct USB auto input. I already have this setup for headphones with the FiiO K7 DAC/Amp, and the difference is astounding. The K7 is strictly an input device. A consultation on MacRumors and Head-Fi turned me on to a DDC. I have one in hand. It takes a USB input and converts it to an Optical or Coaxial digital output. The Yamaha does not have any back panel USB inputs, but it does have optical and Coaxial digital inputs. On my PC's I used to run a Coaxial digital cable from the ASUS Xonar sound card, using WASAPI on the ASUS motherboard to the Yamaha. I am going USB to the DDC, and a coaxial digital cable to the Yamaha. Here is where I need help. I cannot find in the setup where you assign the audio input. I know it is there, I just cannot remember where it is located in the settings for the Yamaha.

I Found the answer, and it is not on the Yamaha, no wonder I could not find it. As usual, Apple makes things interesting, more versatile, but more complex. The setting is here. On the Mac Studio.

On many Apple products , the 1/8th phono also has an optical output in the center of the cable. I wonder if the mac studio also has the combo Optical/1/8 phono output.

EDIT: I just checked and the newer macs do not have that feature for the 1/8 phono out.
