Need help choosing a good quality Marantz

My price range 75$-$150

I have a 2250B as my my main receiver. (sounds great) Frame is bent other then that mint sound.

My second stereo I have an MR 235 (as i understand this one is not of the best made?) Though it is mint aswell.

Any reccomendations on a receiver to replace the MR 235?

I was thinking: Marantz 2230, MARANTZ 2216, Vintage Marantz Model 26 Receiver Tiny Classic, MARANTZ 2220B

Again my 2250B sounds way better the the MR 235... looking for something comparable to sound quality as the 2250B but it doesn't have to be as powerful.

Thanks

IF you can pick up a 2230 for that price - great. But it is a tad warmer, or softer sounding than your receiver. Otherwise I would try for a 2216b, 2226b to compare to the 2250b. The 26 would not be that wise a choice. I can't remember which one of those 2x units were problematic????

Or try for anther 2250b in better condition?

The 2220B is a very nice unit too. I really like the sound of mine. Looks just like your 2250B. I'd stick with the 22xx series, there's more support out there for them.

Thanks for the reply... compared to the 2250b I have... I'm sure there are farm better quality units out there... any suggestions on what would be better then the 2250b, but in my price range?

Thanks
