Need help identifying this Paradigm speaker model

Just got these at a flea market. They look to be in nice shape but there's no model ID on them. I found one site that had a picture that matches and the URL lists this as paradigm monitor series. Anyone out there have any idea what these are, and most importantly - how to remove the grill if possible? There is access from the back, but grills need cloth either cleaned or replaced. This is a picture of the same model.

I found them! After scouring the web, I found another thread on AK that identifies these as Paradigm Phantoms.
The lack of info on the web is astounding.

From another web site

I found specs for the bookshelf models as:

They use a Vifa 8" Woofer and 3/4" Soft Dome Tweeter
Power Handling- 150 Watts RMS
Frequency Response- 40-20kHz +/-2dB
Sensitivity- 90 dB
Impedance- 8 Ohms

I laid out small $$ for these - the guy was cleaning out a garage. Aside from being dirty, they're in pretty good shape. Best of all they sound F'ing amazing!
My Wharfedales still bury these, but damn, for the size these things sound awesome.

Those early Atom, Titan, Phantom all have removable backs to access the nuts holding the drivers in the cabinet. Refoaming a set of titans and atoms wasn't hard but the grilles didn't come off, go in from behind and check out the foam.

Refoam not needed. Woofer has Butyl surround and is in good shape.

The old Paradigm stuff doesn't really seem to get much notice online but are quite decent for the size and price.

I bought mine new a couple decades ago and was about to get rid of them when I finally replaced the capacitor on the tweeter. It really brought them back to life. I went with a film capacitor and had to go back and add a low ohm resistor in series with it because the resistance of the film capacitor was lower than the old electrolytic and it made them sound harsh.

So what model do you have? I think these are the bomb. Very clean, good stage and the bass is amazing for a small speaker.

Mine are Phantoms and I think they are V1s.

I remember when I bought them I wanted the cheaper, smaller Yamaha speakers they had and so the salesman set up both in their listening room and was switching them back and forth and I was still leaning towards getting the Yamaha ones until he had to go take a phone call and I walked up to the front of the room and did the switching myself. When I wasn't in the perfect listening position the Phantoms sounded way better.

I was selling audio when the Paradigm Atoms, Titans and Phantoms were current. They were, and are, a great budget speaker find. Well-received by the audio press, and hot sellers. It's a good idea to recap them, ime.

After cleaning these up I'd give them a grade of 9 out of 10 for physical condition. I sponged the dirt off the grills and washed the cabinets with soap. and water. One of the Paradigm badges was damaged and I touched it up with some black enamel. This is easily one of the best deals I've ever gotten at a flea market. I paired them with my AV sub and they really come alive. Great pickup for my second system.
