Need help id'ing console phono

New to the forum and to vintage audio all together and trying to ID a console phonograph a friend has for sale. Narrowed it down to may be 1940-50 philco? The record changer is voice of music but is not original. Any help will be appreciated to get started on restoring and enjoying this piece of history
any info will be appreciated.. Thank you

It's mono, not stereo. Can't tell as the pics don't show it with the doors open. If its a friend of yours, doesn't he know what brand it is?

Corrected and thank you. Her father had it forever in his garage and when he passed, she did the same.. not knowing anything about it. Let me try again..

Looks like its AM FM and shortwave, of course mono. late late 1948 - 1953 I would guess

definitely tubes

If you are going to adopt it then pull the back off it to gain access to the chassis

Take lots of pictures of the whole process

blow the dust out with compressed air

write down all markings numbers and tags, take more pictures

report back

Until '54 or so, Philco used model numbers like 48-1270 with "48" being the year. With a model number, I can probably find you service information.

That was sort of what I figured.About four years ago,I rescued a very sorry looking 1941 Philco console from a curbside,you know where it was headed.It's been sitting in a back room at my house ever since.Nothing works,one of the doors is off the hinges,and the turntable is bare metal.I don't know if it's worth having it worked on.
