We all know that audiokarma is a wealth of information and a place to get help when needed.
By starting a thread seeking assistance, not only are you getting advise, but you are also contributing to the forum and ideally will be helping others.
...some suggestions when starting a thread:
1) avoid vague and nondescript thread titles
2) include in the description the manufacturer (Pioneer, Marantz, etc.) and the complete model number
3) post photos, not just a detail of the area in question but also an overall photo or two for context
4) post a legible schematic if available, again, not just a detail but the entire schematic
5) construct short paragraphs
6) keep us apprised of any successes or failures
7) for those responding, if you quote a post, you can easily delete photos, etc. from your response to avoid redundancy and cluttering the thread
8) show a little appreciation for those who respond, don't simply get what you need and move on without acknowledging those who tried to help
Threads that have all of the pertinent information are much more interesting and valuable to the forum than those which require the readers/responders to guess and/or prod the OP for basic information.
