Need help repairing Pioneer RT-1020L

Hi, I am repairing a pioneer RT-1020L and whoever was in here before saw it fit to cut out the pause switch. As a result I have an orange, brown, gray, and blue wire that sit where the pause switch used to be connected to nothing. Does anyone have any photos from a working machine or advice on how to install the replacement switch I got. It is from a Pioneer RT-1011L but it seems to be an identical part. Thanks!

I can only imagine it's an affect of having no pause switch, but I'll say what problems I'm having. It will fast forward, sometimes reverse (and always reverse when I manually press down the break solenoid of the take-up reel), but will not play. And yes I do have both the tensioners activated with the tape I'm using.

These decks are now 45 years old, and the original lube has turned into a hard, waxy substance, which prevents the transport mechanism from functioning properly. The deck needs a good cleaning and fresh lube. Use Ronsonol Lighter Fluid and some Q-Tips, and Zoom Spout Turbine Oil (from Ace Hardware store).
And yes, the 1011 and 1020 are basically identical.
