Need Help Upgrading Dad's Broken Amp

Hi everyone,

I'm looking to replace my dad's old and broken home cinema amp, the Yamaha DSP A2070. I'm thinking about getting the Yamaha RX V6A, but I'm not sure if it's a good fit, especially since his speakers are the Celestion Ditton 66 Studio Monitors.

Any advice on this upgrade would be super helpful!

Thanks a bunch!

(7.1 setup)

Will the new amp be used for home theater or just 2-channel music listening? If the latter, the Yamaha A-S501 might be a better option for those 4-ohm Celestion speakers. Oops, just noticed it's for a 7.1 system. In that case, the RX-V6A should be fine. It's rated to drive 4-ohm main (front) speakers.
