Need help with identifying boombox wire.

Hello,

I recently acquired an old Panasonic RX-5080 that I'm in the process of restoring. I am stumped and a bit puzzled as to what the wire with the words ME means? or what it does or go specifically. I have included a photo to outline the wire I am trying to figure out.

Any help would be grateful.

Looks like a ground wire for the cassette mechanism, or motor. M E means "motor earth" or "mechanism earth". If there's a hole in that clip, it probably is meant to be screwed on to either one of those. Earth in electronics is a type of ground connection. Sounds crazy but it's true.
 
Does anybody have or know where to get a service manual for the Panasonic RX-5080?
Looks like I need the part number for the FM Tuning Capacitor.
