:yes:
hello fellow AK'ers;
Been cleaning out my garage and storage areas and i have two fine looking heavy pairs of speakers i need some info on.. are these keepers? or....firewood?
First pair is a large pair of Johnzer model K-IV 12 inch speaker systems...these are heavy..and solid...they sound very good...
The second pair of speakers that recently came to light are some SARAS model # 30's, ser #3021 and #3030. These produce great sound and have a silver sideways mounted horn tweeter. I have looked hi and low for info on these...and no luck.. nothing about either pair of speakers.... ANY and all info about these is gratefully appreciated.....
:banana:
ps..the speakers without the silver horn sideways tweeter are the Johnzers...and they also sound pretty good...

The Saras speakers are the ones without the horn tweeters and that have the inverted dome tweeter like EPI used. They are a fine sounding speakers if everything is in good working order and the rubber surrounds haven't hardened..

Those horn tweeters on the Johnzers are standard Japanese kabuki speaker super tweeters as used by Akai and other companies. They were likely made by Coral, Foster, or Pioneer. In fact all of the drivers in the Johnzers look like they may be from Japan. All that really matters is whether you think they sound good enough to keep or sell.

thanks guys..what i would really appreciate is any technical info about these SARAS or Johnzers....like frequency response, max power input, etc... sensitivity, i went to the Classic speakers site and nothing about these..both i am told are American Made....
many thanks in advance for any info...
