Need help with Noble balance wiring

Just bought a Counterpoint pre with many mods, one was disconnecting the wires to the Noble balance control.
There are no markings on the Noble other than the company name. The board has A & B which I assume are left and right and there are three holes two of which per channel have jumpers probably to get stereo signals. I would like to hook the control back up but am at a loss of the wiring order.

do you have the actual control?

this is going to sound like the lazy answer that it is, but you should be able to simply match up the holes in the board to the pins on the control, after removing the jumper. This is most likely an MN taper pot, or possibly a log/antilog pot. Where the jumpers are, you should read low resistance on the pot with it centered, and a much higher resistance from the center terminal to the other end. If that checks out OK, just picture the pot as if it was soldered to the board and run the wires accordingly.

Yes, the control is the black box on the left side of the photo with six wires poking out. On the volume pot box the 3 wires per channel are run in sequence from closest to farthest hole with closest to farthest wire. In other words the middle wire is in the middle hole for the volume. (PS. it looks like at one time there were 4 wires per channel on the balance pot but the end most ones were snipped off?)

ah ok, thought that was a different control. Didn't notice the wires weren't connected to anything.

not sure what you mean about 4 wires. I see what appears to be 3 per section. Unless you mean that twisted pair? no idea where those are going but it doesn't appear they go to the 3 terminals on each section of the balance pot.

The "twisted pair" in the background are the wires for the green "power on" light. There are six wires on the pot.
