need help with old rca console

i have this late 60s rca victor(vjt34L) console that hums when i turn it on. the hum goes away immediately after i turn it off. im pretty sure its the capacitors. when looking through the back of the cabinet i see one on each large speaker and one big one on the main control area. i plan to replace the ones on each speaker/tweeter area to have known goods to further test if necessary. the question here is what should i replace them with? im used to working with stuff rated in uf and newer electronics so this mfd business is something strange. the originals are 4mfd and 25v non polarized. ive tried to run the part numbers on the capacitors but have found nothing online. any suggestions and advice would be appreciated and i have tried to look for diagrams too and i have not been able to find any but that's a different problem.

Capacitors most like;y Yes but not speaker caps. Most likely you're hearing an audio hum through the speakers and when power off of course it goes away. Can we assume there are no fluorescent lights in the outlet circuit or any potential source /60hz hum? I can't be absolutely sure but the symptom hints at power supply mains, but things like an open audio or ground circuit can cause hum. too. Generally you'd find a schematic inside cabinet or rear cover? if missing need to dig one up, if available.

hey thanks and ive tried multiple outlets in multiple rooms. and i dont see any form of diagram anywhere on the back cover (both sides) or inside the unit. and yes i checked inside the unit. ill probably get someone who works on these things to fix it since i dont realy want to take it apart and try to draw out a diagram. thanks for your help!
