Marantz / Sansui paired to Rti4's ???
Looking for some advice on pairing a system to 4 Polk Audio RTi4's. This system is for a small business that I am about to open. Considering a powered sub woofer later on. Currently, the building has 4 Awai compact speakers and a Sony htib receiver (Was in the building when I bought it). Surprisingly, the sound isn't horrible lol. So any upgrade from this is a move in the right direction. Money is an object as I have a lot of work still to do on this property. I understand that the highs on the Polk Rti4's can be a little "tinny" and only gets worse with the wrong receiver/amp.
I am considering marrying a Marantz 2235b and Marantz 4140 to the Polks. Would this be a good move? Should I go in a different direction? Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
My GF will most likely be playing classical music during the day and probably classic rock after closing
. I'm not running a dance club so I don't need massive sound but.......... Good crisp quality sound is preferred.
Thanks.........
