Need medical diagnosis

So, when I get sick the first place I head for a medical diagnosis is AudioKarma.
I have had a cold/flu (I don't know what it is) for the last two weeks. My symptoms are no energy, headaches, sinus congestion, phlem, coughing, etc...I've missed two days of work and have trouble concentrating.

I spoke with someone who is further advanced than me and he is on the third week of the sickness. I should mention I am starting to feel like myself again but only back to 75% of feeling good.

Anyone else have this bug? What is it?

I had that same %$#@ing thing for a couple of weeks. Took a couple of months to fully feel human again. Doctor didn't do a thing. The only thing that really helped was sweating it out, but that was kinda tough with such a cool, wet summer.

Same here, although i've had a full-blown case everynow and then, and mild ones sprinkled throughout. My guess is a related bug to something like hayfever, or just terrible allergies...maybe Zrytec (sp?) would help?...I'm not sure, but I can agree, it sucks. Hope you get the last 25% back faster than it normally takes me...
 
I had something like this two years ago and it turned into bacterial pneumonia. Yuck. Keep on eye on it, because I had thought mine had gone away and it came back worse. Maybe I was the first one with swine flu. Like typhoid Mary for the pig virus.
 
Sinus infection. But see a doctor, the internet is no place to get a medical diagnosis.
 
yup i had something similar about month or three back...it wasn't really bad,started out with fairly mild head cold symptoms which lasted the usual few days for such things,but then it went south into my chest and set up housekeeping...it wasn't all that bad really,but i was coughing up crap for at least a good two weeks,it just refused to go away..tho it finally did...there were a couple of us at work that got it,all with roughly the same results and duration...

If you add lack of appetite, I've got it too. Came on like gangbustrs about tree weeks ago and I basically slept for four days. Then came the post-nasal drip where I thought I was gonna cough up a lung.

I got some supercharged cough syrup from the doctor (whi h knocked me out!) and a week later I'd say I'm 80% over it. Still some coughing and no energy, though.
 
Spicy food can help clear the lungs- red pepper especially. I start taking the Emergen-C powder when I feel something coming on. Also I have had luck with garlic, but that requires determination, as building up to eat raw garlic is pretty nasty tasting.

Sounds like you got the same crap I have, and half the people I know have.. I caught it from my brother and son while in Indiana, and they live in MA. My wife is on her third week, I'm on my second and it SUCKS...

I was getting better last weekend.. just staying home, NyQuil every 6 hours and sleeping on and off all day.. then I got too busy and can't get enough rest, and feeling worse this week...

I know people in DE, CA, TX, MA, IL and god knows where else that say they have the same symptoms, and can't seem to shake it... Just imagine if this was some kinda serious illness.. makes you think about if the swine flu would have been a real killer...

Lots of rest, lots of liquids... about all you can do.. I just wish I could get the rest..
 
or.. you could visit your nearest street corner dealer and buy a little something from them that will keep the nasal passages clear and running... your friends my think you're a little twitchy though...

+1 Yeah.

And if cost and time is a concern or bother at this time because you don't know how serious, many clinics/hospitals have a 24 hour consulting nurse or hotline.

surely better than asking at an audio site- remember, you'll get as many conflicting opinions as if you were asking tubes or solid state, CDs or records, horns or panels or cones....
