Need Modern Chair for Listening Room

#2 On reupolstering

There's always going vintage and having it re-upholstered. I found this mid-century modern swedish "DUX" chair for dirt cheap because all the foam had collapsed. Took an upholstery class at the local Community College and rebuilt it from the frame up.

Had this one done , and i have 3 more on deck.

Eames Replica

I acquired this beauty for $150... its microfiber instead of leather and ive noticed a left-right wobble so Im looking for a bearing or sleeve or something that supports it ... I'd hate to snap the main shaft that sits in the base. ANY IDEAS WELCOME..

Height looks like a concern with most of the chairs suggested , i would like ear height to be 40 inchs from ground , so find most of the lounge type chairs wrong for height and angle. Best to find one with adjustable height ....

I have a pair of Poangs.

Unfortunately, I no longer have a room to put them in... :(

In our old house we had a highback chair and a barrel chair. Me and a couple friends switched them in and out a couple times and everyone took turns listening. To a person, the highback chair made the music confined and focused. In the barrel chair the music was more open, dynamic, and with a deeper and wider sound stage.

I wish there was a way of measuring the effects because they were VERY noticeable.

I use a Poang in my basement listening area; great chair that I wish reclined a bit, but it was very affordable. We have an ekornes in the living room that is more comfortable and a great listening chair, but I am very intrigued by the eames knock offs.
