Need more reverb!

The sound I’m getting from my Sansui G3000 is a bit warmer with less treble than I’d hoped for. Most of all it sounds a bit flat. If it was a guitar I’d run it through a reverb pedal by obviously that is not an option. Ideas?

Thanks for any help.

You can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear I have been told. But that said the issue you are having is unusual for a Sansui. Could you have bad tweeters or are the tone controls dirty? Does the unit have a loudness control that has been left on? Maybe the power supply needs to be rebuilt or maybe you are having signal capacitor issues. You can't expect a 40 year old unit to be performing at its best.

What speakers and how are they set up. Speakers have far more to do with the sound than anything else.

I agree with that. A reverb makes sense for a couple rear speakers but won't do it with just two. I'll risk getting blasted here but pick up an equilizer, run it through a tape monitor circuit and get the sound you want.

A eq is on the way.
