Need preamp advise/best phono stage?

Which of the current Mac preamps has the best phono stage? I could live without a preamp with the 201/501 combo I have now but I really want to add a good TT in the near future. I am leaning towards the C2200 but it seems many reviews mention the shortcomings of the phono stage with the Mac preamps. Maybe I should just add an outboard phono stage and go with whatever preamp floats my boat such as the C2200 or the C200?

The Phono preamp section of our units is one area that many owners tell me they like the best.
These are all very good in the tube preamps, C220, C2200 and C1000t, as well as the C45, 46, C200 and C1000p transistor designs. McIntosh sure has a lot of two channel preamps supporting phono! The tube preamps are the quietest in the industry, both high level and phono.
Of course the C1000 and C200 have the most sophisticated designs and can also use moving coil cartridges. The other models, C220, C45, C46, C2200, MX119, MX135 are moving magnet or high output moving coil designs.
