Need Shipping Advice

I came across an Amplifier for a great price. The seller doesn’t have the original box to ship the Amplifier so he’s not offering shipping and is only doing pick up. I offered to send him a box and packing supplies and arrange a pick up but he doesn’t trust himself packing it. I also offer to have him take it to a near UPS where they can pack it and I’ll provide him with a shipping label but he doesn’t want to risk damaging the Amplifier during that process. The Amplifier is in Brooklyn NY and I’m In Las Vegas NV. Is there a service that will pick it up, pack it and ship it to me? What other suggestions would you recommend?

Yes, UPS offers this service. You'll have to call and check etc.
However, UPS has screwed up more stuff than you'd care to know.
Just make sure they double box it too with extra stuff. It's not cheap.

It is a McIntosh Amp. They’ll do that? I was in the process of trying to get an amplifier from them if this deal didn’t work out. I don’t know how they’ll feel if I ask them to help me buy an amp from someone else.
 
Update:
I just found the same Amplifier on TMR that they just posted today. Although it’s about $300 more that what the other one was going to cost me this one comes with a remote and original packaging. Also saving myself from a headache. So I decided to make the purchase through TMR. Thank you for all the advice it’s much appreciated. This is why I love this forum.

I purchased a pre amp from TMR this year. Product was better than described, heck it looked like it was new. Prompt shipping, good communication, although I cannot comment on packing as the pre amp came in its factory crate and on a pallet. You should get an excellent product from them if my experience is typical of their transactions.

I have to agree with you, TMR is a great place to buy used equipment. I myself bought a MP100 Preamp from them earlier this year for a great price and I would of thought it was new. That’s why when I seen they had the Amp I was after I had to jump on it.
