Need some advice on a possible add to my system

I currently run RtR 300D’s with the RtR ESR-6 on top. The combination is really fun to listen to. I have two Pioneer integrated amps driving them. The SA-9500 II driving the 300D’s and the SA-8500 II driving the electrostatics.
I’m using both preamp and amp on the 9500 but just the amp on the 8500.
I’ve been looking for an amp only to replace the 8500. I have an opportunity to buy a Pioneer M-22 locally.
What does the group think about pairing the M-22 with the ESR-6’s?
Thanks.

I know nothing of your speakers but the M22 is one of my bucket list amps. If I were you I would try it and if you don't like it move it along. Unless you're getting bent over on the price you won't lose money if you get rid of it. Just my .02

You do know that the M-22 is only 30 WPC right? But after reading the specs, I'll bet it sounds damn good!

I have an 8500II and a 9500II but I am driving them just the opposite of what you are doing.

I'm using my 8500II as the preamp and amp, and the 9500II as just the amp. Have you tried this scenario? It might be the difference in speakers but my 8500II seems to sound better using it as the main driver and preamp to power the 9500II.

I was wondering if you have you tried this combo? I was just curious if someone else had tried it this way. If you did and didn't like it, no biggie!

I would jump on L-O9M's also. I'm a separates kind of guy. You can keep receivers and integrated amplifiers. They hold no interest for me.

I have not tried swapping them. The main reason for that is the 9500 was restored by a trusted source. The 8500 was “recapped” as “described” in the eBay description. That could mean lots of levels of restoration.

I did a little research on your speaker setup and IMHO the M22 would be a huge step up from the SA8500, and will be more than up to the task of running your electrostatics. Jump on that M22 while you can and start looking for the matching C21 preamp because Pioneer out did themselves with these pieces and the M25 amp. Good luck!

All, thanks for the input. The M-22 for sale locally isn’t in the cards. Asking eBay prices is one thing, but holding firm at eBay prices on a local CL sale is another.
My search continues….
In the meantime, I’ll take some advice from Mr. Stephen Stills and Love the one I’m with.
