Need Some Help with an Hitachi HT-460 Tonearm Lifter Switch Assembly

Hello All,

My Hitachi HT-460 has some broken switches that I was going to replace. Erroneously I did not take any pics of the innards of my TT before I started, cardinal sin I know. Now unfortunately for me, I'm not quite sure how the wire that lifts the tonearm is supposed to be put back together. I tried to match the set up on the manual as closely as I could however it's not working right. Namely the end of the wire that looks like it slides under a bar that pushes up of the lift. There is not enough contact with the switch for the mechanism work properly. (see attached pics).

If anyone has any insight on what I'm doing wrong or experience with a similar type mechanism that can enlighten me, it would be greatly appreciated.

*****I have the cam spring but don't have it attached yet, wanted to figure this out 1st. ****

Hi. I have the same turntable.
The problem you have is that the rod to the cueing mechanism should be on the underside of the lifting bar, I will share a photo.
Hope it helps
