Need some wisdom with a vintage Jensen ID [See Pics]

Hey all,

Just found some vintage Jensen speakers at a thrift store for under 15 bucks. However, I know very little about Jensen speakers this old. I predict there from the 1960s after doing some comparison with other similar photos. Are these Jensen's of this era known for being pretty quality speakers for the time? They sound great. Any knowledge (worth, performance, age, etc) of any kind regarding my newly found speakers would mean the world to me. Thanks

I saw a pair of those with very long pretty tapered legs on them so they sat horizontally, very cool actually. I remember looking them up or finding some info but can’t for the life of me remember the name.
 
Nice pickup, Jensen made quality speakers back then. They should be real efficient so a SS amp of 10 to 20 watts should be plenty, or for the full effect a single ended triode or pentode tube amp.

Was wondering also if these would fit into my setup with better sound than what I am using. I am using two MTX AAL 103 150 Watt Speakers. I know they are kind of apples and oranges but my listening space is about 10 by 18 feet w/ wood floors. Also, if my Pioneer SA 510 80 Watt going to be a good pair with the Heathkit SS-1?

Based on the write-up by Mr. Esmilla above, they should sound pretty great. Jensen made some high quality stuff back in the day. I'd think some damping material in the cabinets would help, though. They're sure pretty!
 
It's interesting to compare how speakers were made back then vs. more modern techniques. You have to wonder how many man-hours they took to build.
 
Great price, but walk away. We sold Jensen for years it was our introductory line for people that wanted a price and couldn't hear thunder.
