To be honest, probably not a great option because you'll be relying on the cheap headphone amp in that unit as a source.

You'd be better off getting a cheap used netbook or laptop coupled with a $20-30 DAC if you're interested in sound quality.

I'm interested in using a tablet as a source too, but haven't found a solution that allows a decent digital output from one.

I've had a Sonos system for a number or years and love it. You can buy one of their remotes or, use a smart phone, iDevice or PC to control it.

There are other options, it just depends on your budget.

Sonos has great technical support. One of my devices got a bad firmware update long after it went out of warranty. We couldn't fix it over the phone, so they replaced it with a new one for free.

yea i might need to go with a net booki want to have the wi-fi capability too to network my pc so i can use the main pc as a library use my main pc with a hk 3490 but it goes into a ht omega sound card.and it sounds awesome.
the set up in the living room consists of a pioneer a-8 amplifier also gonna use it for netflix and hulu

You can buy an older iPod Touch for under $100 easily. Use the dock connector instead of the headphone out. That's a great way to go for MP3 and streaming. Then upgrade the sound quality later with the Pure i20 dock/DAC combo when funds allow.

i think the headphone jack is a direct out jack .i am thinking of a dac to run into the amp,,i think the headphone signal is digital from the tablet???
