Could someone please help me ID these speakers I know I have seen them before but for some reason I can't find any info on them. I have a chance to pick some up for a pretty good price. Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks,
Bubba

Are the smaller drivers aluminum cones? If so, they might be Jordan Watts modules, one of the best not really full range drivers. Their high end is better than most full range drivers, good enough to be used without super tweeters, though people did add them.
And obviously the deficient low end of the modules isn't an issue since there is a woofer.
If the price was low I'd be very tempted.

The seller says they are aluminum. Is "Renaissance Corp." the manufacturer? I am still looking for information. What pisses me off is while searching for something else a couple of weeks ago, I found an article with these exact speakers and now I can't find it again. $100 bucks for the pair!! Sounds pretty good to me. I just don't want to get stuck with that speaker that everyone else is smart enough NOT to buy.

I don't know. I haven't heard them. He says they sound great. They have one 12in Woofer & 8 3in mids. They just look expensive. I'm sure I didn't save any of the information I found because they were way out of my league. I am just getting into vintage audio and I am choosing my battles carefully. My Wife isn't happy with this new obsession..

I owned a pair of speakers in the 70's built by the Ezekial Speaker corp in Washington DC. that used metal cones. The were very strong sounding but the mid top was rather edgy. Those cabinets used 1 woofer and 4 mid/tweeters with the same layout FWIW
Regards,
Jim

The smaller drivers do look like Jordan Watts modules -- the square mounting plate (though not painted) and the cones and suspensions look quite similar. And Jordan did make an aluminum woofer, though the one I know of was an 8 inch one, I think. But there might have been larger ones. I'm very interested to know what the speaker is like.

So were the speakers ever brought home.
The look like a Loudspeaker Design Corp. speaker I have.
Nice cabinets, shotty woofer install.

Just a note to readers -- there now seems to be another thread on this pair of speakers, and the two threads cross reference eachother confusingly, but the other thread appears to be now the primary one.

A very old thread but these look like Model-3's from Loud Speaker Design. Another name used was Ezekiel as discussed under other threads with one of these two names.
