Need suggestions for a 4-Ohm rated vintage Quadraphonic Receiver... is there such a thing?

Any of the Sansui QRX models were rated for 4-8ohm. QRs were rated for 4-16ohm. Only restriction is they do recommend you match output on all four amps.

That's good to know... and the Sansui's are great quad units.

There's a receiver exactly like this one (Sansui QRX8001) for sale here in Gainesville. I've had a chance to hear it driving some KEF Reference 102/2's, and it sounds damn impressive.

Indeed. King of Quad (and it's a powerhouse). Likely plays nice with 4 ohms. Sansui for the win.

Takes some digging to do a full restoration on one of these. Take your time, and take LOTS of notes so you can get it back together again!
