GREAT Show!
have fun

your in for a great show.i saw him in winnipeg on the 16th and the show was nothing short of amazing.i hope i have as much energy as he does when im 62.
You called it radioactive - the show last night was amazing. If you're not looking at Neil you would think he is a young man with all the energy. I was very glad for the chance to see him again - don't pass up a chance, who knows how many more chances to see these legendary musicians? Now I wish I had brought my high schoolers along - I think they would have enjoyed it.
I was on the other end of the arena, directly facing the stage. It's not a big arena, probably 6,000 capacity, the sound was ok - i thought it was alot better for Neil than for Death Cab which I thought was way too much low frequency (although I loved their set).
Right from the start with Love and Only Love and especially later in the setlist with Cinnamon Girl and Cowgirl in the Sand -- I was astonished and locked-onto the guitar playing. I remember the same reaction when watching Neil play with CSN at a concert back in 1974.
I think my favorite was Old Man with Ben Keith on the steel guitar, Neil on acoustic guitar, and someone on the banjo. they put the spotlight on each instrument at various times in the song, and the sound was excellent.
His voice sounded great, I guess that's the advantage to having an "interesting" voice like Neil's.
He told a funny rambling story when he was introducing the drummer - said they met while playing at FarmAid, the drummer was playing with Joe Walsh. This was before Joe had stopped drinking. Farm Aid was setup on three rotating stages, you start playing when the stage rotates in front of the crowd. Well Joe kept on playing while the stage rotated around in the circle.
Peggi Young was playing keyboards and he had at least two female backup singers.
The encore "Day in the Life" was a spine-tingler for me. you would think that would be hard to do in live performance, but he pulls it off. They were not done with the encore until well after 11pm.
hi similost ,
sorry to hear about your bad experience.i think that most of it was in fact due to the fact was a theatre.i heard that the reason for the ga floor tickets(standing only) was to have a more active crowd and do away with the doctors/lawyers etc... who would buy up the good seats and just sit there.so as far as neil selling out i dont think he has.i know that i was standing up most the show and singing along with no problems from the people around me.
anyone who wants to check out reviews of the shows so far and setlists can go here

Yep, people were coming and going all night long. Just before Neil started, someone bellowed out "Does anybody have any pot?" -- which was pretty funny, the crowd was mostly well behaved middle-aged boomers, it was good to see the turnout - this is a newer arena for Snohomish County, just a few years old and still getting established, and every big show is important for it, it looks like they sold alot of beer (there were about 30 different brands of beer at the vendors), with a few interesting folks on the floor doing interpretive dancing, etc. ...there was a large GA crowd on the floor standing throughout the show - Keep on Rockin' in The Free World got everybody in the arena out of their seats. :thmbsp:
