Never seen this turntable.

Hey everyone! I was called to this persons house to take a look at their turntable and see if I would like to buy it. But I can’t seem to find any info on it. She says her late husband had it for broadcast but other than that no info. It has the letters BE on it and that’s it. Can y’all help me out on the maker of this item?

Thank you for your reply. Can you tell me what the BE stands for? She said maybe British electric. But I have never heard nor seen of this make.

Thank you again. That’s definitely right! I’m trying to see if there is a way to turn it into a stand alone turntable and if it’s worth it. Are they reliable? And how is the sound quality?

Russco built them but they are not Studio Pro Model B. These are 3 speed, not 2 speed like the Model B.
These are Cuemaster models. 33,45 and 78 RPM.
As Montycat stated, those use Audio Technica ATP-12T tonearms. Very desirable and a nice match for the table.
Plenty of information on Russco tables here, just do a search. Several of us are building Studio Pro Model B at the moment. Adnick is posting on a plinth build for mine in this thread,

Only BE is out of Quincy, Illinois. They used to be originally based in Silver Spring, Maryland. These turntables were originally built by QRK, of Fresno, California. BE also built them up to 1992. And was the last to build the Rek-O-Kut tonearms which they also did up to 1992.

You are correct. I was thinking of BSW - Broadcast Supply West, although I had the table name correct. Been some years.

Very similar in design to the Russco Studio Pro B @BillWojo mentioned above but not quite as substantial - perhaps the equivalent of a ROK B12H in heft.

The Japanese motor is similar to that found in a Neat P58H and Realistic MKVIII.

Hello. I realize the thread is many years old, but if you see this, can you help me with a detail? I'm cleaning up a Broadcast Electric 12C3 and it is missing the main bearing. Do you know what size it is? Thanks in advance! Merlin
