Never Wet?

I tested it on glass, and it rubs off like a thin coat of rubber cement with no effort at all.
I can only assume/hope that it is a lot better on porous items.

It IS however, amazingly hydrophobic. I turned said glass 90 degrees sideways and it trapped multiple drops of water by their own surface tension. They refused to fall off!

Audio?
Maybe if it's used to make a portable player waterproof?

They showed this stuff on the Today show last week. Matt Lauer sprayed it on his pants.

I use a similar product (that has been on the market for years) to treat the canvas covers for my boat. The water beads up and runs off.

Just think, if you used this and went swimming you wouldn't need to bring a towel.

Yeah, sporting goods places like REI have been selling it for years, especially when Gore-Tex coats were still new. It's not a bad idea really, but that stuff DOES come off (eventually) in the wash, & it is/was expensive to re-apply. :scratch2:

I've read reviews that say it leaves a white film and breaks down immediately with UV exposure.

.dew.

I saw some video on this a couple months ago. The coolest application for it was the toilet plunger. No cleaning required after use!

Assuming the "use" is to dip it in water, then take it back out.
Any actual plunging will take the NevrWet right off of the plunger.

If it were durable, I'd spray my grouted tile shower walls with it!
