Got a Sansui, last time I had one was in the 80s. I bought it in Japan. Oh I forgot i bought a G-3500 no sound two weeks ago, parts are coming blown fuses and bad outputs. Love the look, Anyway this is about the AU-777. The obligatory description, powers on, nothing else. Done for obvious warranty issues. Fairly clear photos, didn't even bother to wipe it down which I like because they are trying to hide stuff at times. Like using sharpies. We'll se what we get in a couple of weeks or so, I'm already thinking about a custom wood case, probably some light wood. No walnut or oak.

I fell in love one of those at a pawn shop, back in the late 70s or early 80s. I never came up with sufficient funds. I just love the look.

Yeah thats the reason i bought it appeals to me. The AU line with the big knob up front I like a lot the xxxx stuff. Maybe next one.

Sansui is hot right now and getting much harder to find. I wish I could find that old website from the guy that lived up by Duluth MN, he had all kinds of Sansui Gear and great information, anybody remember what it was?

Ah the unicorn, there's always a guy somewhere. They don't sell just hoard, until they die then a estate sale.

This guy was posting their TOTL equipment and it was all for sale. He seemed to have a source for one of the big power amps, he was selling those for around $1200 in the mid 2000's but he had a lot of other equipment as well.

There's actually a lot of those guys out there, my job gets me in a lot of places, I've seen all kinds of collections including non-audio, for me it's more normal to see it.

One of our old Salvation Army's used to use a Sansui for testing donations, they refused to part with it.

I know what you mean, about seeing stuff. I drive a few hundred miles per day to do deliveries and see some cool stuff. Some very cool stuff out there, I usually ask if anything is for sale. hahaha
