New Arrival Yesterday

The schematic for the LS1212 shows a separate controller that has a cap in series. Maybe changing the cap value would make it stop faster.

BTW, I was at Home Depot getting some blades and they had some of the drill/impact driver kits on sale. The Makita kit (the consumer grade models) were on sale, also MIlwaukee but I chose the Ridgid kit. My decision was based on the lifetime warranty of the entire kit, including batteries and charger, and the lowest price. I have no doubt that the brushless Makita is a better tool but will wait until the dust settles on brushless to pick one of those up. The Ridgid impact driver has the highest rated torque but we all know that real-world and mfg. ratings sometimes don't jive.

I agree on the ratings, some are fairly creative. Makita is usually a bit conservative.
I only sell the pro grade models of Makita, as the consumer grade would not be the best fit for my customers-they put the screws to them for sure, and on a daily basis.
They do cost more, but if bought right is not a huge difference.
The warranty on these is fairly liberal, but not lifetime. I have had drivers with 5+ years on them that have been fixed @ no charge. Milwaukee I think has a similar liberal policy. Good tools as well, but sometimes seem to bit a bit larger and heavier.
The Rigid would probably a excellent choice for home use, and a worry free warranty it sounds like.
