New audiophile looking for tips on setup

Hi all! I’m starting my vinyl setup and I have a Technics by Panasonic Record Player SL-23 and a Technics by Panasonic SA-5070 receiver. I still don’t have any speakers and was looking for recs/tips/ and advice on this

First of all welcome aboard, here's hoping you enjoy your stay!!!

As for speakers your question has a ton of variables so in order for folks to help you out help us out and let us know the following so that the suggestions will make sense for you

1) What is your budget for speakers, how much are you willing to spend?
2) New or used?
3) With regards to #2 if new where do you plan on purchasing, if a traditional B&M audio store then Demo, Demo and Demo some more until you find a pair that you like.

If going used where do you plan on purchasing? local to you FB Marketplace, OfferUp, CL etc

4) What size bookshelf?, Floorstanding?

for speakers if there is a local dealer of used equipment around you could go listen to some different speakers as most of them have live systems and see what
sounds good to you then look around for a better deal or buy them from the dealer. Good Luck
 
Welcome to AK. Everybody has different tastes. My rec would be to find a good deal on a pair of used ones, and try them to see if you like them. There are so many variables. I think it is hard to know in advance what will work with your cartridge and receiver.
