New David Gilmour Album and Tour dates!

I feel much better now. Although I didn't get a great seat, I have a ticket. Section 103 in CHI on the second date. $180 but it includes a copy of RTL so that takes away a little bit of the sting.

I forgot about this thread. I went to Monday's show. It was phenomenal, IMHO. David was in great form, his band was great, and the mix of new stuff and PF classics was excellent. I enjoyed it thoroughly.

One of the venues he's playing is the 2,000 year old arena in Pompeii. How cool would that be? Hopefully, 345 Euros worth of cool.:yikes:

How cool would that be? SUPER COOL!.

The amphitheater is the same one that Pink Floyd Live in Pompeii was filmed at in the 70's. PF is the only band to ever play there so DG will be the second and he needed special permission from the Italian government. The last audience attended event would've been gladiators. So this will be a very special event and I'm sure those attending will gladly shell over their 345 clams.

Also it is being filmed for blu ray / dvd release. Maybe Roger and Nick will show up (wishful thinking), who knows.

I was seated in the rear on the right - first level up from the floor seats. Definitely worth it! Very good sound and his voice issues from the Brazil show were gone. Won a copy of Roger Waters The Wall DVD from a radio station van across from the United Center while waiting for doors to open. Last time I was there was for the 2010 Waters show that I won a pair of tickets from WXRT. Can you say lucky SOB?

I saw him at the Hollywood Bowl. An epic concert. It bordered on a religious experience for me. He makes it clear he has a most impressive solo career and he pays quite an homage to his Pink Floyd roots. He cannot come back soon enough.
