New Diaphraghm for JBL 2405H

Hello Guys,

I have a pair of 2405H tweeters. I want to make them sound like new. This is done by changing the diaphragms. The problem is I cannot find the original JBL parts. Can original JBL diaphragms be found for these? Otherwise, what is the best substitution?

If nobody is stocking them any more, there's a good chance that JBL has discontinued it. Simply Speakers sells a replacement that is undoubtedly better than the generics on eBay; I'd give them a call and ask them how they it differs from the original. It might not be a bad idea to call JBL and find out if they'll be making any more of the originals.

One other thing you could try: Harman in Europe carried some Infinity parts longer than Harman US did after the speakers were discontinued. It might be the same for JBL parts. You could try contacting their European support, and if they have it, if they'd be willing to ship overseas.

The last diaphragms that I used were not very well made. They were JBL diaphragms. I think their quality was not good in the latter production days. Maybe Radian will gear up to produce these diaphragms. Their quality is excellent.

They don't make the ring radiator type diaphragms. I have called them before and talked to the owner/engineer. Give them a call and ask if they plan to produce that type of diaphragm. They do make the 1.75 inch diaphragm for the 2420 and all that use that particular replacement diaphragm. https://radianaudio.com
