New England OktoberFrankenFest October 20th in Clinton MA

You bet; January/February or thereabouts. Jim and I will discuss tomorrow and a date will be posted up in the follow up threads.

As always, my gratitude to Jim for driving this and taking care of the public relations. Thank you Jim.

Sadly, I will not be able to attend the upcoming get together. The last two have been a lot of fun and I will definitely be there for Winterfest (assuming there is one).

I have a couple sets of jewelers tools in the shop (phillips, flat, torx). I'll get those out on a bench somewhere.

UPDATE

I just talked with Paul aka delihaus - he's been swamped at work and hasn't had a chance (shudder) to check in to AK lately.

While he's not prepared to put on a turntable clinic he did agree to host a turntable roundtable discussion (thanks to Stephanie for the suggestion).

Paul is 98% sure he'll be able to attend (something about leather stains and getting his chaps back from the cleaners) but decided that since he's been working so hard as of late he deserves a break (yay).

We are planing for the TT roundtable to start at 3PM. I would say that if anyone has a turntable they want to set up they should bring it with the understanding that guidance will be given but they will need to be the hands on their gear. This also means that you'll be responsibile if something goes accidentally awry.

Also keep in mind that once you move your TT from the GTG you will need to recheck it at your home listening position.

You should also bring some small tools (screwdrivers, needle nose pliers, scale, cartridge alignment jig) that you may have.

And one would be wise to stay away from the beer until after the fine work is done!

4 more days...

Just got the call my daughter has gone into labor, so in all likelihood I'll become a grandfather tomorrow. "Push" will be tomorrows word of the day.

And here I was wrapping my head around "inner groove distortion".

We're all pulling (pushing?) for her to have a safe and happy delivery.

Moe, You are about to meet a group of great people. As I mentioned to Jim the other day, the only thing I expect from folks is good intentions and I have never been disappointed. This crew is smart, friendly, interesting, helpful and just plain nice. You are in for a good time.

Looks like I'll be making my first Fest tomorrow. See everyone there...Moe

Congratulations! Is it true that his middle names are "Advent Klipsch" so his friends will call him "AK?"

Welcome, Moe! Frank is correct about the great people coming today. However, do not get into the "Which Captain Beefheart LP is the best one" argument. Fists might start flying!
By the way, the correct answer is "Spotlight Kid." Got a problem with that?
