I am getting tired of this. I like to binge series and hate it when the streaming services release their new series a week at a time. It is like watching network TV. I understand it is to try to get you to stick with their service, but it irritates me. Thoughts?

Hah! Was just mentioning my frustration with Moon Knight on Disney+ and the weekly BS to my wife. I'm a binger, so I'll wait a month or so.
 
There is no series, streaming, broadcast TV or otherwise that is so good I don't tire of it after two episodes in a row. I hate it when PBS, feeling they have to compete with the streaming services, finally gets hold of some decent content and shoots their entire wad in three nights before returning to Doo-Wop Oldies Pledge Night for six weeks. Why can't they pace themselves? Whatever happened to delayed gratification? Makes me want to ask for my donation back.

Guess I just wasn't born to binge.
 
Done w/ Disney. About to cut Netflix. Local library has a great bluray and DVD selection, and even some 4kUhd discs. Tha, coupled with OTA and various free streaming options are MORE than enough to fill the time I'm willing to spend sitting.
 
Netflix trying to hold viewers with 3 or 4 year long episode season delays is the worst (i.e. Peaky Blinders), while filling their content with "woke" content, not a great plan. I've noticed both Net and Amazon both neglecting their documentary releases, which keep me entertained.
 
I think the serial business model may be one of the reasons the Netflix viewership has decreased recently. I just noticed Bosch is back and it is also being trickled out.

they do, unless you are a passport member. Then you can watch it all at once, if you choose.
 
We have YouTubeTV.
It allows us to watch all the cable and network shows and sports we want, and we can skip commercials. It doesn't have everything, but no streaming service does.

$65/month for what amounts to network TV, and other boring channels on Cable TV? No thanks. That poor channel lineup was the reason we dumped cable.

I guess we will keep looking.

Documentaries and all (well, most) Attenborough material are the only parts of Net I consistently like. Yeah, seems like documentaries @ N are being (purposely?) diminished.

nb: I've not used Amazon in years and was wondering just a day or two ago whether (or not) A had decent socumentary material. Seems, per your statement, they're dropping that DOCU call, too.
 
I too like documentaries, but good ones are getting harder to find. Amazon used to have quite a lot. Now you need to subscribe to PBS docuseries if you want them. There are just too many services and I can not wait until the shake out that is inevitable.

Honestly, I use my sons account. He and his girl work in coaching and teaching. It's worth it to them to see all the games they're interested in, and they don't need cable.

So i had no idea of the cost. That's way too much, I wouldn't pay it.

Left on my own devices I just have a rooftop antenna and youtube.
