New guy needing some advice...

Hello, I'm new here and while searching what to get I was almost everytime rediricted to this community...so..here's my situation. My father in law gave me his Technics sb-k45 speakers...I do know they are not high end but I like the vintage look....here's my dilemna...I cannot decide what to choose between an amp/tuner to go with those speakers...
Pioneer sx-636
Pioneer sx-580
Yamaha CR-840
Sansui G3500
Sansui G4500
SANSUI TU666
Sherwood S7100 A
Kenwood KR4600
Marantz 1515

Or going for a Sansui 441 with sb-2500x speakers (lovely vintage look...and very goods comments also)
Or sansui G4700 with Goodmans Magnum SL speakers for which I read very good comments.

Welcome to AK. you can get a lot of suggestions on the question you are asking. For me I would listen to the different setups. which ever one you like the best and pleases you. would be the way to go. However it is up to you. The Rabbit hole is very deep..... Enjoy the journey... :)
 
All of those are going to be a good match and sound nice. Personally I’d narrow it down this way:

Sansui TU-666 is a tuner only and would require an amplifier.

Minimum power of 40 watts. Nothing wrong with lower power if you listen at moderate levels, but low power often means that the unit is closer to entry level, so other component may be lower quality, too. I can’t find specs on the sensitivity, but I think it would be moderate in the upper 80s. This leaves:
Yamaha CR-840
Sansui G4500

As much as I like Yamaha and the x40 series (I’ve owned several over the years and still have a CR-240), the very-hard-to-replace IC power amps make me nervous and will make this one hard to fix.

That leaves the G4500.

I also find that once you are in the middle the range for a receiver, stepping up a level will give better results for a small increase in money. For example, a Kenwood KA-5600 has more power and functionality than a 4600 at a small increase in cost with similar sound characteristics.

Welcome to AK! I do like me some Sansui, but from your list I would go with the SX636. Recently sold a refurbish unit and it is a respectable 25 watt unit. The purchaser lives in a condo and drives efficient speakers. He was very happy. Good luck in your search.
